Research three web designers who inspire you. Look at their work - what do you like about each one? What do you wish you could do that they can do in their work?
Post the links to their pages below. Write a brief synopsis of their work and describe what you enjoy about it. Also, if they have a Twitter feed, include their twitter username so everyone can follow them :)
The first website I found that I really liked was http://www.drawastickman.com/ and the designer of this website is Phil Williams. This site is fun to play with and it should inspire people to make their websites more interactive.
Another really cool website is http://www.seattlecidercompany.com/. It is awesome to just scroll down the page and look at everything. The designer used a great combination of colors and “The Cider Process” section is really neat.
The last website I found and really liked was http://www.mms.com/us/. It is cool how everything is brought up when the tabs are clicked. From there you can select anything and it will take you to a page with more information.

1. http://www.bing.com/#
Bing.com is a website that inspires me because of the amount of content available. There is so much to click on and search. They have the latest stories and have a different background picture every day.
2. http://www.cnn.com/
Cnn.com is another website that inspires me. It has so much to do and to click on. There are articles, videos, weather, even live TV. It inspires me because they can always make a user entertained.
3. http://curious.com/
Curious.com inspires me because it can catch anyone’s attention. It uses a nice grey color on the background with many other colors around it. It has a wheel you can spin to give you random lessons which is good for interactivity.

1. www.naturevalleytrailview.com has great transitions, excellent pictures, and not very cluttered so it keeps your attention and interest.
2. www.pandora.com is organized with a top band with features. ratings, and name of the song. The background is an ad instead of having ads popping up during the music. In the information section it always has a white background and the cover, name of article, and much more.
3. hadonejob.com are all pictures about "you had one job" mistakes. There is small padding on every picture with a white background. This separates the pictures making it easy on the eyes. It had many pictures but remained uncluttered.

The creators of Commonplacebooks.com- because (and I don’t know exactly why) for some reason I really like the off-white setting and simple set up; this is what I’d imagine I’d be doing if or when I design web pages. It’s functional, it’s easy to advertise the site’s podcast, and anyone can access it (from FireFox, Internet Explorer, etc.). I wish I was this functional and stylistic as commonplaceboks.com. It has a retro feel, and again, I just seem to gravitate towards it… Maybe I’d add just a touch more color to their design, on second thought…
I also like the creator/matinée of thatguywiththeglasses.com. I really like the home page-where everything produced by different critics and entertainment producers is right there and in their own category. And even when you have to dig through some links, the menu bar is expandable and collapsible. I know very few websites that attempt to pull that off and just end up making a complicated mess of links. TGWTG does it right! Plus, most if not all of their links work. I’d like to shoot higher than that, but then again it’s only a couple of links that have issues on their site so … I still consider them reliable.
Lastly, I like the web designers of deviantart.com. Whenever I need inspiration for a project, I either go to this site, or tumblr. Though, I really find it cool that whenever you go to deviantart.com you get a mish-mash of newly-submitted art, or art that’s trending, or art that’s more for your pallet, right when you enter. This keeps things fresh and allows for further exploration of various artists who are posting for millions of reasons. Maybe to get discovered, or just to share a few doodles. The best part is the panel at the bottom that shows the most popular pieces. You can scroll through and find something spectacular in an instant.

1) The first website I found is http://wanelo.com/ I use this website a lot. It is amazing, it helps you shop and find things that you wouldn’t really know what type of website or store to look at. There are millions of users on wanelo. It’s perfect.
2) The second website I found that I like is http://lifehacker.com/ This website is kind of like a cheat sheet for real life. It gives you tips and tricks for many things, it is also another way to learn how to do certain things without the actual main thing that you’d need regularly.
3) The last website that I found that I like is a website that I’ve known about forever. This website is the absolute cure of boredom. It’s an online bubble wrap popper, it may sound stupid but it’s actually addicting. http://www.snapbubbles.com/ My little cousin once played it for I think 3 hours straight.. woah.

1. http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Doctor_Who_Wiki...
This website inspires me because it gives information on my favorite show. I like websites that hold information. That’s what my website was about. It gives information on all the characters, plots, episodes, enemies, and history of the show, Doctor Who.
2. http://www.pandora.com/
Pandora is a free music radio website. With this, you can type in a band of your choice. It will first play a song from that band. Then, when that song is over or you choose to skip it, it will play a band within those same genera. You can thumb up the songs you like, and it will play that song more often. Give a thumb down and it will never play that song again.
3. http://frwebdesign.weebly.com/

Larry Page is a web designer who inspires me, he made www.google.com. Larry Page inspires me because he made a very successful website that lots of people use today.
Mark Zuckerberg is another web designer who inspires me, he made www.facebook.com. Mark Zuckerberg inspires me because he made a really nice site that has been popular for a long time.
Guido Van Rossum is another web designer who inspired me, he developed www.dropbox.com. Rossum inspires me because he made a website that many people use today to safely store their files. I use dropbox a lot now so I can work on things in different places. Dropbox helps a lot.

First, the designers at Google. I like the layout, its easy to understand and navigate, but its also creative. On Google Chrome, you can sign in and make your own theme or background, you can access all of your documents from your Google Drive, and everything can be connected. (All of Google, not just a website)
Second, the creators of the Good Coffee of Charleston website inspire me. The layout and design is amazing and very creative. the interactivity isn't very useful to me though considering I don't live near Charleston, but that just goes to show how good the design is because I picked it just based on looks and design. (http://goodcoffeeofcharleston.com/)
Lounge Lizard.. This website. Is very creative and really fun to look at. When you scroll over items, some of them are interactive and they all fit together. The visual design is awesome, the interactivity is spot on, and they create apps too so you can go download one and see if those are as creative as their website. (http://www.loungelizard.com/)

1) the design team for tumblr.com. They are one of the only teams of people that can shut down a website for three hours and only make the background blue two tones darker. The layout of the website is simple, a blue background with every text post in it's own little bubble. It's easy to navigate with the colorful navigation bar on top of the page, plus with endless scrolling the website can swallow you in for hours on end.
2) My second website is spotify.com. Why? Free music, with very little limited commercial interruption. You can make your own playlist and let that play, instead of skipping songs and hoping one you like comes on pandora.
3) my last website is to the team of masterminds at Google. Between the personalization you can do on chrome and the cheesy google logos they use, they put a lot of time into doing something everyone will love.

The first website I found was Foodily.com. Foodily.com is a website for anyone looking for new recipes. The designer did a great job at organizing this website. There is a variety of recipes and chefs to choose from. The website is very inviting with the bright pictures and the variety of things to pick from.
Another website I really enjoyed was Skittles.com. The designer of this website did an amazing job with the color scheme and content. This website really draws you in and keeps you intrigued once you start scrolling down, reading the jokes, and watching the commercials. This is a great example of the colors you need to intrigue the people who visit your website.
My favorite out of the websites I looked at was
stumbleupon.com. This website suggests apps, websites, games, and books depending on your interests. I really admire the way they filter your likes and dislikes. They show you things that interest you and if you decide that isn’t something you like, you can give it a thumb down and it will not show it again. This website gives anyone who tries it a great way to discover new things.

http://www.lumosity.com/app/v4/dashboard
Lumosity was a very interesting website, plus it’s a good site to work out your brain. I think the creators of this website did a great job. It keeps people interested and also its easy to navigate and the colors are great. It inspired me to make a website that could help others and not just a website with information. I like the interactivity within the site. The Lumosity team has done a great job with this site in my opinion. Their team has 12 people in it.
http://whiteboard.is/
White board was another interesting site to go through. The background image was a cool feature, it moved around but the text and all the information was still readable. This website made me more inspired to create websites like that. I was interested and wanted to keep looking through the site. It a group of ten workers to keep the site updated and keeps it working. I think it would be cool to work with a group of people to create a website.
http://www.humaan.com.au/
Humann.com had lots of information but it was all laid out nicely. It is a team of seven that work to make this site work. It inspired me because of all of the clients, partners and brands they work with. There are 30 different clients they work with; I think that is pretty cool and if I became a web designer I would want to have that many clients or even more. I think that is inspiring.

For my sites I picked sites that were creative and fun to be on. These sites are also sites for groups of web designers, as their company site.
http://www.hugeinc.com/ is the main site for the HUGE design team. If you go to their site you can see they are designing a new site for TED.com. The site we have used before in this class. The site has a nice color scheme that makes you feel hyped for what they have to offer. Navigating the site is simple and strait forward.
http://www.mekanism.com/ is also a site for a design team, this time the Mekanism group. When you go to their site you can see their style right away. When you look on the site you also know that Mekanism is mainly a media crew for hire. Their goal is to have an old time type of story telling. They are presented as a more playful, fun group. With their pictures and videos it is easy for one self to scroll the entire page and get lost.
http://www.derekprospero.com/ is once again a designer’s site, but this time more than just web design. They also feature art work and pictures, do commercial design and make skins for electronics. The site is really interactive and appealing to the eye.

1) http://www.cnn.com
I go on this site almost every day. It has tons of important information, ranging to all topics. It’s a great place to learn something cool that happened recently. The colors are all easy to look at and it’s really easy to maneuver. There are videos, links, and sorts of things to keep a user entertained. New content is put on the site daily.
2) http://store.steampowered.com/
This site you might recognize, if you play PC games. It’s a really simply site to shop for online gaming content. They have demos, full games, videos, DLC’s and much more. They have every genre of gaming so you can pick and choose to your liking. I really love the main black color all around. It’s really simple to sign up and figure out where do to all the good stuff. The prices are always better than a physical copy of a game.
3) http://www.deviantart.com/
This site has loads of content for you artists out there. It’s full of inspiring artwork forming to an array of moods and topics. It’s a great place to find pictures to put on your sites, or even background photos on your phone. If you were to use the pictures in one of your websites, make sure you ask permission from the owner. You never know nowadays what people will do. It’s relatively easy to navigate and I love it.

This website is crazy good! So many different pages to go to and really interests people. The format of this website is just unbelievable. It has high quality imaging, great transitions, and very unique. There’s not a website like this one at all. It’s Jim Carrey’s personal website. It has biography information, news, TV clips, and more! I would love to learn how the creator of this site could do all these sweet transitions and everything else.
www.miniclip.com
For anyone looking for a fun computer game to play, go to this site. It has 100s, maybe even 1,000s of different games. All of its pages are fast responding and games load at top speeds. Games are in great quality. I want my website to be able to have fast response times like this site.
www.mlb.com
This website is the very best to go to for anything concerning baseball information, stats, etc. They get the information out fast, unlike other websites, and they provide constant updating. My website is about the Detroit Tigers, and I would like my website to be great like this. It’s an inspiring website to me.

3 websites
1. www.sony.com
This website is very graphic and easy to find your way around. There is big linked buttons in the beginning that will take you to where you are most looking for. The entire website has a main theme, a glossy black and white theme which makes it look really nice.
2. www.youtube.com
This website is very useful in teenager life; it’s the most known website around the world for finding videos. Also any video you could ever think of will be on this website, its easy to search and even related videos pop up on the side.
3. www.onemorelevel.com
One more level is easy to find games, they have a small list that is always changing form the best games of the week. I like this because it gives the users a good variety of games that they might like but if not you click home and go find the game you want to play.

-Runescape wiki is really cool. First I really like the game and there’s great information on the game. In the wiki there’s links to other pages which I learn how to do, I like the theme for the background, and it’s a medieval type theme.
-ford.com I like a lot, first thing is that ford been in our family for generations. The way the website is setup I really like that, My favorite thing about the website is that I can customize my car, or in my case a mustang. Which is really cool, you could also have a 360 view inside the car.
